Elly and Austin chose to split their engagement session between two of San Diego's most iconic locations, giving their gallery a beautiful mix of timeless architecture and dramatic ocean views.

We began at Balboa Park, where the historic buildings, archways, and gardens created the perfect backdrop for their formal look. The rich tones of Elly's dress paired beautifully with the classic architecture, while the two of them effortlessly brought warmth and connection into every frame.

For the second half of the session, we traded the city scenery for the coastline and made our way to Sunset Cliffs. With the ocean stretching endlessly behind them and waves crashing below, the atmosphere felt completely different—more relaxed, adventurous, and intimate. The overcast skies added a cinematic touch that made every moment feel even more timeless.

One of my favorite things about engagement sessions like this is the opportunity to capture different sides of a couple's story. From the sophistication of Balboa Park to the natural beauty of the coast, Elly and Austin's gallery feels both refined and authentically them.
