From getting ready in a historic hotel to a timeless Catholic ceremony, a stunning portrait session at Pasadena City Hall, and a romantic reception with mountain views—Katherine and Chris’s wedding had it all. We had the joy of capturing every moment through both photography and video, and each location added something unique to the story.
We had actually photographed Katherine and Chris’s engagement session a few months earlier, which made the wedding day feel even more personal. Having already spent time with them in front of the camera, they felt relaxed and completely at ease, which always makes for the best photos.
The day began at the Pasadena Hotel & Pool, a stylish and elegant space perfect for bride and groom prep. With its vintage charm and soft natural light, it gave us a great setting to capture emotional and candid moments—letters exchanged, laughter with the wedding party, and those final quiet moments before heading to the church.
Their ceremony took place at Sacred Heart Church in Altadena, a beautiful parish tucked into the foothills. The traditional Catholic Mass was filled with meaningful glances, heartfelt prayers, and the support of their closest family and friends. We made sure to document it all without interrupting the flow—allowing the day to unfold naturally while capturing its most significant moments.
After the ceremony, we made a stop at Pasadena City Hall for romantic portraits. With its grand architecture, clean symmetry, and soft natural light, it's one of our favorite spots for timeless wedding photos. Katherine and Chris looked incredible as we wandered through archways, courtyards, and open-air corridors—every frame felt classic and cinematic.
The celebration continued at the Altadena Town and Country Club, a venue known for its elegant grounds and mountain views. The golden light at sunset made for a dreamy cocktail hour, and as the evening progressed, the celebration shifted to heartfelt speeches, joyful dances, and the kind of energy that fills a room with warmth.
Weddings like Katherine and Chris’s are why we love what we do—thoughtful details, meaningful traditions, and a couple truly present with one another. It was an honor to be part of such a beautiful day.
