What Happens After You Book?

For most couples, booking a wedding photographer or videographer happens months—sometimes even a year—in advance. At that stage, many of the logistics and timelines aren’t set in stone yet. And that’s perfectly normal. Weddings are complex, and for most of us, it’s our very first time planning one. That’s exactly why we’re here: to walk beside you, to answer your questions, and to help make the process clear and stress-free.

A Wedding Is One of the Biggest Purchases You’ll Ever Make

This is a great place for you to tell your clients more about your story and to describe the type of photographer you are. You can come back at any time to make more changes.

What Happens After You Book?

The communication doesn’t stop once your date is secured—it actually begins there. Here’s how we guide couples through the process:

Direct Access Whenever You Need It

From the moment you’re booked, you can call or text us at any time. Whether you need advice on logistics, timeline adjustments, or just some insight into how other couples do things, we’re here for you.

  • Right after booking – You’ll receive a welcome guide and questionnaires to help us learn more about your vision, priorities, and must-have shots.
  • Planning check-ins – A few months before the wedding, we’ll reach out to start finalizing timelines and discussing the flow of the day.
  • Final details – As your date gets closer, we’ll go over logistics, portrait locations, family shot lists, and any special requests to make sure nothing is overlooked.
  • After the wedding – We’ll share sneak peeks shortly after your big day, followed by your full gallery and films within the delivery timeframe outlined in your contract.

This structure ensures you always know what to expect, and that no detail falls through the cracks.

More Than Just Photos and Video

Many couples are surprised to learn how much their photographer and videographer help outside of capturing the day itself. We’re often involved in:

  • Helping decide whether a first look or aisle reveal is right for you.
  • Suggesting timelines that balance photography needs with your overall wedding flow.
  • Recommending portrait locations for both engagements and the wedding day.
  • Coordinating with planners, DJs, and other vendors to keep everything seamless.

It’s not just about showing up with cameras—it’s about making sure your day runs smoothly and beautifully.

Flexibility When Things Change

One thing we always remind couples: timelines shift. Sometimes hair and makeup runs a little behind, or the weather doesn’t cooperate. That’s okay. Our job is to adapt and make sure we still capture the memories that matter most.

You don’t need to have every answer right away or plan every detail perfectly in advance. We’ll work together as things come together, and we’ll guide you through the process step by step.
