Alyssa & Gary

A Classic Meets Cinematic Engagement Session in Los Angeles

Alyssa and Gary’s engagement session was full of style, energy, and that timeless Los Angeles glow. We started the afternoon with something truly personal, Gary’s classic 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7, and ended the evening high above the city at the iconic Griffith Observatory.

The first part of the shoot took place on a quiet residential street lined with greenery and warm tones. Gary’s car isn’t just a beautiful vintage ride, it’s part of their story, a piece of his personality, and the perfect backdrop for something stylish and fun. Alyssa wore a floral dress with a bright red top that paired perfectly with the soft tones of the neighborhood and the polished chrome of the Cougar. The two of them looked like they stepped out of a mid-century movie scene, elegant, relaxed, and totally in sync.

Afterward, we made our way up to Griffith Observatory as golden hour started to roll in. It’s one of the most cinematic locations in Los Angeles, and for good reason. The light, the skyline, the architecture, it all comes together in a way that feels iconic and romantic. Alyssa changed into a chic white dress and Gary kept it classic with a crisp button-down and black jeans. The view of the city from the observatory gave us the perfect backdrop to capture quiet moments, bold silhouettes, and a few playful spins along the terraces.

As the sun dipped lower, we leaned into the dramatic light and long shadows, even catching their silhouettes on the observatory walls. The session ended with views stretching out over all of LA, a soft breeze in the air, and two people completely absorbed in the moment.

Sessions like this are a reminder of how powerful it can be to blend personal elements, iconic locations, and a couple who brings genuine connection to every frame. We can’t wait to capture their wedding day next.
